How your data is used

When you sign up for the Money Saving Girl newsletter, your email address is collected.

This information will be used for internal record keeping – for Money Saving Girl to send you emails about content on the site.

This is usually once a month or quarter, though there may be occasions where additional emails are sent.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link found in every email sent (bottom of it).

Comments

Your name, email address and IP address will also be required if you make a comment on any pages or posts on the blog. This information may be used to contact you if the comment requires a follow-up.

The name you enter will be published, and I reserve the right to edit and comment you write. I also do not have to approve a comment posted.

IP addresses help with the security of the site in the case of spammers or hackers.

How your data is processed

Your details will never be shared with a third party without your express consent, unless I am required to do so by law.

You may request a copy of any data I hold about you. Please email me on the email shared on Contact page.

Data is only kept for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purpose you gave it.

Moneysavinggirl.co.uk uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. Cookies are used to retain user preferences and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics.

How the blog makes money

Some of the links used on the site are what’s known as “affiliate links”. By buying through those links I may receive a commission for the sale. This is the same model used by popular websites like Money Saving Expert and Voucher Cloud. This has no effect on the price for you.

Adverts are generated via AdSense based on your browser history. I don’t have any say in what adverts is displayed to you, though I have tried to block as many I deem unsuitable as is possible.

The blog’s content authoritativeness is really important to me, so I only include the best offers and deals, whether there is an affiliate link available or not. I also refuse all sponsored posts when I do not believe the service or product promoted is genuinely serving my audience needs. Everything I write is because I believe it’s something you should know about, not because I’ve been paid to write it!

But any money I do make helps me support important causes – like this one –>In October 2017 I donated my all advertisement earnings received up to date from this blog to to my friend’s daughter operation, I also donate to Just Giving and Cancer Research on a monthly basis.
