Cheap or free Kindle book offers

How to get Kindle ebooks for less?

While there’s nothing quite like holding a physical book in your hands, Kindles are great for reading on the go, especially when you don’t want to lug around heavy hardcovers or paperbacks.

Fortunately, there are many ways to get eBooks for cheap or even for free. You’ll find hundreds of titles available for just 99p. You might be surprised to see some of your favorite books on sale. For instance, I’ve seen bestsellers & Booker and Pulitzer Prize-nominated titles on Kindle too!

So, how can you find these deals? Here are some of the best ways to score free or discounted eBooks for your Kindle.

Kindle Offers – Free Kindle Books for everyone

Kindle Unlimited

Two months of Kindle Unlimited for free

Kindle Unlimited

Looking to access a vast library of Kindle books, magazines, and audiobooks? Consider Kindle Unlimited, which offers over 1 million titles for just £9.49 a month.

Keep in mind that this is a subscription service, so you’ll be charged every month unless you choose to cancel.

If you’re not sure whether it’s worth the cost, you can try it out for free with a 30-day trial or a 2-month trial. I also see a 3 months trial out there ( always Google and push for more 😉 After that, you’ll be charged the standard monthly fee. Note that you may be able to take advantage of a free trial every 13 months, so it’s worth checking back periodically. I usually sign up and create a calendar reminder a week ahead of the expiry date – so I don’t forget to quit if I don’t want to continue any subscription post-trial.

As an Amazon Prime member, you may be eligible for a longer trial period, although the offer can vary.

Free Kindle books list

EReaderIQ website, which offers a wide selection of titles. However, with so many books available, it can be time-consuming to sift through them all and find something worthwhile.

To make your search easier, you can use the rating filter to weed out low-quality books. Additionally, it’s a good idea to select the “also available in paperback” option, as this can help you find well-regarded books that have been traditionally published. Of course, there may still be some excellent self-published books in the mix, so don’t be afraid to explore!

‘Free’ Amazon Classics

Did you know that you can download free Kindle versions of classic books that are no longer under copyright? Amazon Classics is a series that offers a wide selection of these titles, from Homer’s The Odyssey to Tolstoy’s War and Peace.

Most of the titles in this collection are available for free, with only a few priced at £1.99. So whether you’re looking to revisit an old favorite or discover a new classic, be sure to check out the free Amazon Classics.

Free Kindle books via Amazon Prime

To access free Kindle books as an Amazon Prime member, you must have an active Prime subscription. There are ways to get the Primse subscription cheaper than its standard prices:

  • £8.99 per month
  • £95 per year

One way is if  you have a student in your household as the Amazon Student membership fees are:

  • £4.49 per month
  • £47.49 per year

Vitality also offsets the membership fees but then you need to pay for your health insurance with them, so it works bests if you capitalise on Amazon Prime price offset if the policy comes through your work benefit.

Free Amazon Prime trial lasts a month and can be taken every 12 months.

Prime Reading

Amazon Prime members can enjoy Prime Reading, a curated collection of books available to read for free, including many popular series. While it’s a more limited selection than Kindle Unlimited, it’s a great perk for those who already have a Prime subscription. I was surprised to find ‘Lifespan’ from my beloved dr Sinclair there a few months ago, so they are having more interesting titles than in the past for sure…

Free First Reads

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can take advantage of First Reads, a program that offers a free copy of a yet-to-be-released book each month. The selection refreshes on the first day of every month, so you can look forward to discovering great new titles on a regular basis.

Affordable Kindle books

Amazon offers a wide range of titles at discounted prices, with prices that can fluctuate daily. While the deals are always changing, there are a few ongoing offers that are worth checking:

£1 monthly Amazon offers

Looking for even more affordable Kindle individual titles? Check out the £1 monthly offers from Amazon, which feature a rotating selection of 80 titles that are available for just £1 each. The deal prices refresh on the 15th of each month and many of the titles are also included in Kindle Unlimited, so you can enjoy even more reading options for a low monthly fee.

Kindle Daily Deal

I love Amazon Kindle daily deals!

The Kindle Deals homepage helps you discover great deals in their expansive collection of ebooks.

Amazon offers Kindle daily deals – there are three to four titles available each day for just 99p (or a little more), with each deal lasting just 24 hours before new titles are featured. By signing up for the Kindle Daily Dal email, you can receive a reminder to check out the latest offers and get some great reads at a discounted price.

Kindle Book Prices Tracker Tool

Prices of Kindle books can fluctuate frequently, and it can be frustrating to miss out on a book you want at a lower price. Fortunately, there are tracker tools available that allow you to actively monitor specific individual titles and receive alerts when their prices drop to a level you’re comfortable with. You can even track the author to keep an eye on all their releases.

One such tool is Amazon’s price tracker CamelCamelCamel equivalent for Kindle –  EreaderIQ website. Although you need to enter your email address to access this feature, it is free to use (donations are optional).

Other than Kindle free books sites

I know some people use other quality digital reading experience sites such as:

  • Z-library
  • https://libgen.is
