Amazon has become synonymous with successful eCommerce. Its range of devices makes it easier than ever to shop from home or on the go.
Amazon was founded in 1994 and now owns over 2 mln sq feet of retail space across the globe. The company sells millions of items every day through its website and apps. In addition to selling goods, Amazon also offers services such as cloud storage, music & video streaming.

Amazon must-haves
Many dislike Amazon as it does create tough competition. Small businesses often can’t stretch as far as Amazon to offer lower prices.
I am aware of that and when possible I do not shop on Amazon and try to buy elsewhere. However, there is a time and place when Amazon is my ‘go-to place’.
If you want to learn how to get Amazon vouchers ( at least £60 worth of them per year) read my post about ‘shop & scan‘. Interested in Amazon price fluctuations? Check the post about ‘CamelCamelCamel‘.
Pressure Cooker / Slow Cooker / Air-fryer
My pressure cooker is 3in1 as it is a slow cooker, pressure cooker, and air fryer in one nifty device! It was £99 on 27/11/21… I love it as it’s super easy to use and uses a stainless still-inserted pot.
A pressure cooker completely redefined my kitchen skills.
With this device, you can literally cook entire dishes from start to finish in a FRACTION OF TIME!
I actually often say that preparing the veggies takes me longer than cooking in my instant pot. Finally, it’s energy-efficient, so swapping any hobs or oven for it will save me some ££ on the utility bill.
Check out this video for some air fryer food inspirations.
Hydroponic set
A hydroponic kit is superb if you want to start growing but only have some counter space to spare. It is not only a super easy, non-demanding, and super quick way to bring more fresh plants into your household.
I tried 2 models from Amazon and like both for different reasons.
I started growing hydroponic vegetables in iDOO 7 Pods Hydroponics Growing System (£79.99 – Jan 2021). I liked it as the set came all together with everything minus seeds. I quickly grew 100g of sorrel in about ten days! I then run out of the sponges and got these sponges. They weren’t as good as the original ones but neither were the worst, they simply did their job.
iDOO had 7 pods but I wanted to grow more hydroponic vegetables and herbs. Therefore I bought NAIMP Wifi 12 Pods Hydroponics Growing System for £39.99- Aug’22.
It is good, however, the plants seem to grow slower in this system (either my plant food is not as good as the one I got with the iDOO set or it’s me).
I am happy about growing plants using hydroponic. As not only it’s easy but the veggies taste as good when grown in the soil!
Power Bank
Trswyop Wireless Power Bank 26800mAh came at £28.45 in August 2022. My husband broke his hand and this power bank gave him so much more flexibility than cable charging (in the first days after his operation when in the hospital). It’s a nice device and usually allows me to charge my phone 3-4 times! Bonus points for wireless charging, it is possible for some models!
Joseph Joseph Gadgets Hand-Held Mandoline & Grater
As I eat a salad every day for my brunch this Joseph Joseph mandoline purchase was a no-brainer. It saves me time on chopping the veggies. It’s super sharp so be careful. I already had their grater at home so I know you can’t go wrong with this brand and got the set as its Amazon Prime price was too good to miss on the mandoline (£16.99) and the grater will make a nice addition to someone’s Xmas present so it’s a nice bonus in that sense.
Aromatherapy Diffusers, SALKING 100ml
I love to get my evening routine when getting some lavender scent into my bedroom ahead of sleeping. This is why I got this Morrocan-looking diffuser. It is a water-based essential oil steamer that looks nice, changes lights, and has a timer. All that you need to create some more of a relaxing environment in your house. As doTerra essential oils are quality but pricey I got Tisserand (they are great too)! At the time of writing this post (Oct’22) the diffuser cost £19.99 I got mine for £22.49 in Feb’21.
Alessi Orange Peeler, Stainless Steel, Silver
I got this small and nifty-looking device as a Christmas present addition for my husband in Dec’21 for £14.99. My husband loves it as he eats 1 orange per day, so Alessi orange peeler is a really useful Amazon must-have for him! It looks super simple yet does an incredible job of cutting oranges, so even I started eating more of them! Do I have to convince you anymore?
Ecovacs Robot Vacuum OZMO920 with Mop
This vacuum cleaner was an Amazon must-have for me. We have a big house, so I can’t clean it from A to Z as often as I’d love to. Did I mention a lot of my time is spent at a corporate job?
Well, yes that’s why I m a fan of small robots helping me out now and then. Ecovacs is such a robot. I got it at Blac Friday in November 2021 for £269. Although I see it wasn’t much of a ‘special’ Black Friday price as today you can get it for the same price if you see an Amazon voucher present on the site.
I like the vacuum as it maps the area cleaned and always collects dust, dog fur, and hair as well as mops the floor. It runs easily for about an hour and comes back to its charger. I love the fact that I can switch it on and off when using an app on my phone 🙂
Bluetooth 5.0 headphones UP to 50 Hrs playtime
I love these earphones. I lost my other set and boy I am glad I did as these are so much better. I can listen to many more hours of podcasts when walking y dog and they don’t die after 1 hour or so! The quality of the sound is good. The case display shows how much % of the battery is still there. The only problem I have with these is that they sometimes disconnect but usually placing them back in the case for a second ‘resets’ their ‘memory’ that they should connect with my phone and it does happen.
I got them for £4.99 but it was due to my voucher from Shop& Scan activity as I get about £10 worth of Amazon vouchers about every 2 months. Their price in 2021 was £14.99 and I see it is still the same! Well worth it!
The Dog’s Donut Anti-Anxiety Bed
This was a life changer too. We got XXL dog bed in grey for our 4-year-old then Staffy. Up until this point, she was on our bed. Don’t get me wrong she had a bed but not a fluffy one so she preferred ours (no ours is not fluffy but cool humans are there). Anyway, this was the best spent £37.99 as Luna loves it. She sleeps in it most of the nights, so whoever invented this concept was/is a genius! Definitely one of our favourite Amazon must-haves.
Waterproof Dog Raincoat
This is one of Amazon’s must-haves that our dog is definitely not so keen on. I got this 4 legged raincoat in Jan 2021. Back then we had enough of the constant rain and mud in the park. Luna usually runs wild, so her paws and belly get mud-covered. I decided to get this coat for her as it covered her belly and most of her paws…it meant no shower each day just paws clean after getting home from muddy walks. She is initially grumpy that we put it on her but when in the woods and on a chase she ‘forgets’ that she is in it and runs as normal.
