Why do you need rented car on holidays?
I rented the cars on Tenerife, Crete, Mallorca, Azores, Madeira… Visiting some of these places without a car wouldn’t allow us to reach to many magical places, so renting a car proved rather necessary.

It is natural to get put off by the process of comparing many sites before you get a nice car rental deal – that is assuming you can be bothered to compare sites and deals at all..
I hope this post will help you and spare many minutes/hours of tedious search!
How do I look for deals and find a great one in no more than 7 minutes ?
1. A few years ago I used Auto-Europe to book my lovely Seat Ibiza when in Tenerife and it proved the cheapest hence I start my comparison activity when checking their offer first.

I realise that they are not the cheapest in Crete…or in Azores or Madeira.
Now my process entitles this:
- Checking Travel Supermarket as tehy usually have cheap cars available and I do it out of habit
- However ot be super sure I m not missing on any good car rental deal I actually go on TopCashback site and look at the tab TRAVEL and CAR HIRE
- I then order the deals by highest return on purchase either in ££ or in % and see what comes at the top
- Lately Discover Cars looks as they offer a decent cahsback so it is worth checking their offering and seeing if Travel Supermarket or they have a better car hire offering.
Why I like Travel Supermarket or Discover Cars?
But what I like about both Travel Supermarket and Discover Cars is the nice comparison against the most popular car rental services they offer in any given country. That way you already save time on checking these services separately.
I usually avoid the biggest brands such as Enterprise Rent-a-car, AVIS or Sixt. Yes sure they are reputable but I have never had any issues with the less known brands either, so do not see any point in paying more for the recognisable brand. They will show on car hire search sites anyway, so you can definitely check their offering and compare.

I see that the cheapest car in Crete will be provided for £52.56 by Atlas Choice (price as of 2018) and the cheapest cars in 2023 in Azores and Madeira came from Discover Cars.
So lets save yourself hours of clicking and checking when using Travel Supermarket or Discover Cars to find the cheapest possible car rental deals in Crete/Azores/Madeira because these guys will check for us all possible car rental providers such they partner with.
